KMD was established in 1980 in Kocaeli İzmit Körfez industrial site. It started its activities with the production of galvanized fuel tanks suitable for the conditions and needs of the day. After continuing its activities at this address until 2005, it moved to its new facility consisting of 9000m2 open and 2500m2 closed area in Kartepe OSB and increased its capacity 10 times.

It has renewed its production technologies in order to continue its development in parallel with the rapid change in the sector and has not hesitated to invest in people with trainings for the trained manpower it needs. With the support of its trained manpower, it expanded its product range by focusing on the demands and shaped its new investments.

It has given importance to raising the quality standards to support the expansion policy in both domestic and international markets, has obtained the necessary certificates and continues its efforts to add new ones. It is rapidly increasing its market share in the European and Middle Eastern markets. The machine park equipped with robot and automation technology has accelerated the transition to rapid and mass production, and metal fuel tanks produced in accordance with the aero-dynamic structure of the vehicles with long-term R&D studies have taken their place among the products sought in the market.

It also carries out on-vehicle assembly of fuel tanks produced by its expert staff in its facilities equipped with the latest technology with the assurance of ISO 9001 quality certificate.
