Scania R440 performs well in long-distance routes. The cab is spacious, which matters during extended usage. However, accessing the maintenance areas could be simplified. Overall, it balances operation and comfort effectively.

Got my hands on the Scania R440 a few months back. Noticed it excels in driving comfort with adjustable seating and an ergonomic layout. The automatic transmission makes gear shifting effortless compared to older models I’ve used. On the downside, I’ve faced minor electrical component hiccups, but nothing that stalled performance drastically. Drives well overall, and the large mirrors provide excellent visibility.

Drove the Scania R440 for a while and here’s what I think. It’s a sturdy tractor with relatively good eco compliance. The 2012 model holds up reasonably fine, especially with its built-in comfort features. Yet, some aspects, like slight inconsistencies in cabin climate control efficiency, might need attention. The displayed mileage is assuringly moderate for its age. Would I choose it as my primary vehicle? Depends on specific route demands, but it’s worth considering.

Used the R440 a while back. It’s, for sure, a solid vehicle. The suspension provided smooth handling, which I liked. But personally, I found the gear shifts in economic mode not as smooth as anticipated. The storage setup is a win, though. Overall, it serves well with a few trade-offs.

I've been hauling long routes with the Scania R440 for a while now. The highline cab is a real plus, especially if you spend days on the road. Big space inside, lots of little spots for your stuff, two bunk beds, and that ceiling height makes a difference when you get up in the middle of the night. The main thing for me is comfort - that four-point air suspension smooths out rough roads, even when I'm running pretty heavy. Mirrors with electric adjust and heat help in bad weather, but I'd say not all the plastic in the cabin feels as tough as I'd like. It drives quiet, though, and the seats are super adjustable. It's easy enough to get to filters and regular service stuff, but the cost of parts is not as low as I'd want. Fuel use is solid with the automated gearbox in eco mode. All in all, more pluses than minuses - just wish the service wasn't so pricey sometimes.

Used the R440 mostly for freight work across Ukraine. I do like how the cab is set up, loads of storage spots and a proper dashboard that isn't confusing. The steering wheel is adjustable, helpful for taller drivers like me. The fuel use sits around 37 liters which isn’t super low-my mate’s truck does a little better, but you get power for it. Maintenance costs are fair but dealer parts sometimes take a bit to get in my region. Heating and A/C work solid all year. I’d prefer a bit more headspace in the upper bunk, but not a dealbreaker. For the price, gets the job done for sure.

I drove the Scania R440 for five months running mostly international hauls. The cab feels roomy and the seat adjustments help on long trips, though I wish the sleeper bunks were just a bit softer. Controls are all within easy reach, dashboard is clear, but at night the glare from some of the buttons can get annoying. The ride is smooth, thanks to the air suspension, though you do catch some road noise at higher speeds. The engine pulls great even with a full load, and the 12-speed manual gives enough range but shifting when climbing hills can get a bit tiresome. Never had a breakdown but routine servicing isn't cheap. Not the comfiest truck ever but definitely not bad.

Used the R440 extensively on cross-country routes. It’s reliable, never left me stranded. Fuel management proved to be effective, which helps with costs. The seating could use a bit more cushioning; long hours can wear you down. But overall, it’s a trustworthy workhorse on the road.

Recently had the chance to use a Scania R440 for a few weeks. Let me tell you, the cabin ergonomics are top-notch. Every control felt within an easy reach, and the dual sleeping berths added a lot to those overnight hauls. The engine performance, powered by the 440 hp diesel, delivered steady and reliable power. Provided good fuel economy for its weight class, consuming about 36-37 liters per 100 km. Only wish it came standard with more advanced driving aids. Overall, it handles the job well.

I've driven the Scania R440 for a few years now, and it's a solid performer. The fuel efficiency is commendable, definitely helps on long hauls. However, the cab interior could use more comfort, especially for extended drives. Overall, it handles well on the road, and I haven't faced major reliability issues so far.
